Anonymous sent: i have hair that's a little past my ribcage, but it can get frizzy and dry quickly and it gets severely knotty very easily, is there any other products that you could recommend to fix these kinds of problems or maybe your followers could?

Cold water! Cold water will help with keeping the frizz away. Also, try using a children’s detangling spray. When I shower I rinse the product out with cold water and then brush it with a wide toothed comb. A regular hair brush may cause split ends as it’s harsher on your hair.

I sympathize with the knotting as well, sometimes I will wake up in the morning and the underside of my hair will have created what looks like the beginning of a dreadlock just from sleeping on it. If your hair is dry you could also try using a leave in conditioner.

Anonymous sent: i haven't gotten a haircut in over 5 years and i have a lot of split ends, like split partway up the strand. is the only solution to this to cut off most of my hair and let it grow properly again?

Unfortunately, yes. You would have to cut off the split parts and regrow. After cutting it off you should get your hair cut regularly to prevent the split ends from becoming out of control.

Anonymous sent: Hey could you/your followers answer this? I was just wondering what other people do when they wear a hooded jacket. Do you pull your hair all to one side and out? Divide it on both sides? Keep it all back inside the jacket back? Just tie it up instead?

For me, it depends on whether I have my hair up or down. If I have my hair up then I’ll just pull it all to one side. If my hair is down then I’ll just let it fall around my shoulders naturally and then twist the rest as if it were in a bun before putting it in the hood.

musicxxfreak230 sent: okay so I straighten my hair 5 times a week, wash it every day, and have it up in a pony tail because I play school sports. Is there any way to get my hair longer? its at mid back now but I want it all one length at my waist... Any tips?

Straightening your hair five times a week is really bad for it. If you have it straight most/all of the time then you should really only be washing it, at the most, every other day and just touch it up as you go. Also you could consider a keratin treatment, it’s pricey, but so worth it. Your hair will be straight and softer than it has ever been. As for getting your hair to grow, I would just suggest sleeping with it in a ponytail on top of your head, reduce stress in your life, and eat a healthy diet. But doing anything like straightening, curling, and blow drying will cause split ends which will lead to your hair breaking.

TO Pixie Cut Girl….

To Pixie cut girl… I had a pixie cut before and grew out my hair to apl… it took me approximately 2 years because i had to keep trimming to make it even… otherwise, you will end up with mullet hair (not attractive). but once it get pass your ear, it should be fairly simple since you can use accessories to cover up uneven part. I hope that answers your question.

I’m really proud of my hair now that it’s more grown out. ^_^

0xalis sent: no no no i'm sorry but some people have personal space issues. i for one am very paranoid about damaging my hair so if someone starts touching it or playing with it without asking it is rude. it's inappropriate for anyone to just come up to you and touch you without asking. I already said this, but IT'S ABOUT CONSENT.

smokinhotrox sent: I have waist length hair and I've had it for a long time, but I've noticed people have a tendency to grab it and play with it, without even asking. It weirds me out, but I don't really know what to say. Is it rude to grab my hair back and say no touchies?

I don’t think that’s rude at all. What’s rude is the people who grab it and play with it without asking you.

Anonymous sent: Hello! Sorry if this question has already been asked, but I have a pixie cut right now and I wanted to ask you approximately how long you think it'll take to get to my shoulders? My hair grows relatively fast, but still. C:

Well, the average of hair growth is about half an inch a month. I’d say it would take several months to get your hair down to your shoulders, but I’m not really sure how long your hair is now. I know pixies can be very short, but I’ve had a few friends with different styles of pixies and their hair isn’t the same length.

glitter-skullsandwhores sent: I love my hair.. It's been golden brown and down to about my butt for as long as I can remember.. Now I want to dye it.. I'm really scared and my family is trying to talk me out of it.. Any tips?

Use semi- or demi-permanent dye, that way you’re not stuck with it until it grows out if you don’t like it. If you really like the way it looks with the color you chose, you can always go to a permanent dye later on.
